Skid School

This is a different affair from our usual car control fun-days, this is an informal yet comprehensive teaching day for people who want to learn the mechanics of your road skills, such as skidding, wet surfaces, braking and acceleration. You will spend time with some of the countries best instructors in one on one and group tuition - skills that could save you from a simple bent alloy wheel on a kerb right down to potentially saving your life.

Please remember - Helmets are now required on our car control days. You can hire a helmet from us for £10 for the day. Please let us know in advance if you would need to hire one.

We run our days at Finmere Aerodrome, Oxfordshire:

9:30am Arrive & Sign on

9:45 - Sign on 

10am - 1pm - Driving

1pm Short Lunch break.

1.45pm - 4pm - Driving

FAQs

Will I wear my tyres? - Whilst this largely depends from driver to driver, you should expect some minimal tyre wear.

Can my friends and partners come out for passenger rides? Yes.

What happens if it rains? It will still run as intended.

Are there noise limits - We do run a self imposed noise limit of approximately 100dB. If we feel your car is exceptionally loud, we may ask you to either keep your revs down or fit a silencing bung. If the car cannot be silenced, then we may unfortunately have to end your day early. 

'Our price' is the 'Drivers Club' discounted price. We add a delivery charge for non members on top of this, typically around 10-15%. Joining the drivers club removes this charge, and costs only £29 for a years subscription! Bargain!
