Knockhill Circuit - MSA TEST DAY - Friday 20th July 2012

Knockhill - Friday July 20th

Far enough away that most people don't know just how good Knockhill is. Scotland's only permanent circuit venue is .3 miles of roller coaster ride. Certainly one of the gems of UK circuits

THE STORY SO FAR:

Knockhill Racing Circuit is a demanding road-circuit style track, 1.3 miles (2km) long, and 30 feet (10 m) wide, with a unique series of twists, turns, drops and climbs, varying by around 200 feet (60m) from highest to lowest point.

On a recent trip to Scotland, British Touring Car sensation Fabrizio Giovanardi described the circuit, “It’s a really testing circuit which demands a style of driving you don’t use on any of the other circuits in Britain. In that way it’s unique. You really do have to concentrate 100% all the time because each lap is so short. It’s important you adapt your driving style to suit the track. But it’s great fun”, commented the talented Italian.
